Does a Blind Search receiver always find...

all the channels on the sat it is blind searching? Or are there other methods to finding stuff that a blind search misses? In other words is blind searching the ultimate way to find channels? I have a blind search receiver but I'm pretty new to this fta stuff. I know how to use lyngsat pretty well now but is lyngsat even neccessary if blind searching?

It depends whether you have both C & KU band lnbs, or just KU-band lnbf. The receiver will find all active transponders on the freq band you specify. It will only show the Free to air channels. The scrambled channels will not show. For those the receiver will have a blank screen with "NO SIGNAL or SCRAMBLED" channel.

Depends how you run the scan and what receiver your using.
If you select "ALL" in your scanning it will show what scrambled channels are there you just can't view the channel.
Also, some receivers are poor at blind scanning and may miss channels. This used to occur with my Satworks on occassion but was fixed with the latest firmware.
In such cases, you can refer to the lyngsat and satcodx charts and manually enter the information.
