watching 116.8KU satmex5

Im interested in watching just the KU side of this satellite. I know that you need a linear LNB but what size of dish plate do you need? I have an old dish 500 plate that I dont use. By removing the circular lnbs and y-yoke, will this dish size of plate work in southern california or do I need a bigger plate? Im only interested in watching Almavision and XEWT channels that are FTA KU in this bird......

Cool Lnb

For Ku make sure you get a 0.4dB linear LNB.
Be advised that the Ku side of SATMEX5 does not have lots of channels like the C band.
