Weak signal in some channels

I have installed a DG 280 motor with a 120 CM dish and an Invacom QPH-031 LNB. The motor works fine and find the arc with usals but I get weak signal in some channels. Can I install a satellite signal amplifier between the LNB and the Motor?

which channels are weak and on what satellite?
Define how weak they are in reference to signal quality.

Weak signal in AMC-4,Galaxy 16 and Galaxy 25. Quality of only 40%.
Latitude 18.1N longitude -66.2 West. True south 192.6.

What you see is normal.
The only strong channels with about 90% or more quality on AMC 4 are 3ABN english and spanish all the rest range from 40 to 70%.

Galaxy 16 on Ku has only radio stations and the rest is encrypted.

Galaxy 25 has channels that range from 30% to 80% quality.

In general if this is your first experience on Ku linear, you have to get used to see different levels on the channels even on the same satellite that you lock.

Try G18 (old G10R) you may find good quality levels and interesting programming.
