telstar5 alignment

hi, i have an fta dish that was aligned correctly and receiving signal ok from telstar5. the azimuth is 212 and elevation is 42 degrees with 19 degrees lnb. we had to move the dish due to repairs on the location. now, i have tried everything to align it. i get a signal strength of 80, but the quality is only 38. i have tried every possible angle but the signal is not going beyond 38 in quality. the strength is 80. could it be the lnb? or what seems to be that i'm doing wrong, please?
thanks.

do you still have a clear line of site? also try adjusting east and west up and down in very small amounts to get better quality.

thanks for replying.
the line of site is clear. i have adjusted east west and i got 80 for strength. but up and down is i have set it at 42 according to the markings of the dish. and i have set it at different locations. but i can't get it to go above 38. could a bad lnb cause this? i have ordered a new lnb from sadoun. don't know if that will fix it or not.

i have checked all the connections - all clean. the problem is that when i turn the dish left to right, the signal goes from 65 to 80 or 81. and when i turn the dish up and down, it does the same thing. the strength goes from 65 to 80. but no change in quality of signal. the quality just stays at 38. no change whatsoever. what could this be?

30 inch dish.
the strange thing is that the strength increases / decreases, but the quality doesn't change at all. before it was moved, the quality used to be 54-55

Vitruvius will become famous soon enough
try this...

Yes, 38 signal strength may be for one transponder. Try the other transponders.

Also, if you have fine tuned the direction of the dish, sideways and up and down... then there is one more thing to try in order for you to get a stronger signal.... skew. Try twisting your LNB left or right in very small increments to gain a stronger signal.
