do you have the bsc-621 standard lnb or the bsc-621-2 universal lnb.

the standard version uses 22khz switching so this should be set to on for c band and off for ku band, don't know this receiver enough to give all the settings but for ku your lo should be set at 10750 and for c band should be set at 5150.

this lnb uses the 22khz tone to turn on the KU side.
so the KU should use 22khz on
C-Band 22khz off

if you have 85% in red you are real close move in SMALL amounts and you should get to green.
Like rainman I have BSC-621-2 and I picked it because I could not use the 22khz switching for the setup I am trying to use. but it sound like you are close

thanks for the clarification.....Im so close I could smell it but unfortunately I been workin long hours the past couple of days and tomorrow, rain is in the forecast...I guess Im going to have to wait until the weekend...I figure now it might be a skew issue since im getting 85 percent red....funny though I get full signal on the sat meter...

The skew should be 0 when pointed at your south sat.

I just installed my 6' dish with the same LNB. Using a Fortec Mercury outside to test. To answer your question, the receiver for C band should be 5150 and 22khz off for C band, and 10750 standard, with 22khz on for KU. Disq settings should be off unless you are using more than one dish.

I found it was easier to just manually add one of the stations for the satellite you are aiming at, using lyngsat, or just run a smart scan.

My problem, is, I have no idea why, but the strongest signal I can receive on mine is about 50% quality, and the picture just barely hangs in there. I have moved the lnb in and out on the scaler, rotated it to peak, just cannot get a good signal on it. Both C and KU are scanning in the very strongest transponders, but they are not even as strong as the weak ones on my 33" dish. I manually set the az/el temporarily to peak the bird, so I can get the lnb adjusted correctly, but just cant get a darn signal. Im using AMC3 BTW, and MTA1 is the only KU station coming in strong enough. I bought the dish to watch PBS, but there isnt even a hint of those weaklings.

The LNB is currently protruding from the scaler ring plane about 1/4 inch. The scaler ring is mounted to the three arms that attach to the dish, and it appears to be pointing right at the center of the dish. Im at a total loss here. Anyone that can help, please let me know, or preferrably, copy your reply to davenlr@yahoo.com, as I use a PDA and these forums are very hard to read on a little screen. Thanks in advance....

The dielectric plate converts it from linear to circularl. I got the 6' dish tracked now, C band working ok, but KU signals are on par with a 33" dish, not a 6'. Checked skew, distance, scaler ring is straight... Only thing I don't know how to set, is how far the feedhorn should protrude from the scaler ring for the 6' fortec dish.
