Slave a Digital MPEG2 DVB receiver to a 4DTV or C-band setup

Adding an MPEG2 DVB receiver will add more than 250+ digital free to air channels to your existing lineup. Surf the satellites for raw feeds, sports and news. Foreign programming is also widely available.

You will need a slave kit to take advantage of your existing setup:

Slaving your Fortec Star 786v3 receiver to your BUD C/K dish.

We get a lot questions about that. You will need to setup your receiver to accept your installed LNBs on your big dish.

You will need splitters and 2 Way DiSEqC switch to do the connections per previous post.

Connect you C-band LNBF to Side 1 (A) of your DiSEqC switch
Connect you KU-band LNBF to Side 2 (B) of your DiSEqC switch

In the receiver's Antenna Settings Menu:

Set Antenna 1 for C-Band
LNB Type: SINGLE (Click OK on Single and change LO frequency to 5150)
LNB Power: V/H
22Khz Tone: OFF
DiSEqC: 1
12V: OFF
STORE

Set Antenna 2 for KU-Band
LNB Type: SINGLE (Click OK on Single and change LO frequency to 10750)
LNB Power: V/H
22Khz Tone: OFF
DiSEqC: 2
12V: OFF
STORE

In Channel Search, select the satellite you want to search channels on.
Select Antenna 1 to search the C band signals
Go to Start
Repeat again for the other polarity

Repeat again using Antenna 2 for KU band signal.

Will this set up work with a FTA

I was wondering if my current set up will work with a DVB receiver? I have a 922. Each RCA outputs is connected to a VCR. Each VCR in turn is connected to my Denon home home theter receiver via RCA jacks and cables.
