Need Help On Install Bsc-621

I purchased a bsc-621. Im trying to install it on a 8.5 BUD.....I removed the old feedhorn and lnbs. so now I have the arms bolted to the scalar ring. How far down does the bsc-621 need to be in order for it to work? I get about 70 signal out of KU band but 0 signal out of C band.....I have a fortec star receiver so what settings do I need to set? I have both C and KU seperated from the dish coming down and connected to a DISNQC switch next to the receiver....does this make a difference or im better off combining both signals from the BSC-621?

The BSC unit has a built in switch. Depending on the unit it is either a 22Mhz or a DiSEqC switch. Do you know if you have the standard Ku or universal? Since you are running a Fortec receiver I would use the internal switch but need to know which BSC lnbf you have. The nose of the lnbf should be flush with the front of the scalar ring. I do not remember what is 0 for the skew. Perhaps someone else will chime in.

Wasn't the old unit a C/Ku feedhorn & lnbs? If so are you interested in getting rid of it?

0 skew is when the flat box on the lnbf is at 4 oclock.

make sure you have the c band cable connected to the correct connector (if you have 2 cables, it's RCV port)

The flat side should be away from the dish. In other words if you were sitting in the dish and looking at the thing you should see rings not the smooth flat side. The mounting arms connect to the flat side of the ring.
