what is 'NTSC' encription?

LyngSat - Lyngemark Satellite shows some free channels on NTSC encription. Will a FTA SAT (C-Band) pick up NTSC channels? Also, is Showtime East truly free on Galaxy 14? Thanks.

NTSC are analog channels. so FTA receiver won't get them. and yes Showtime is in the clear but it is a analog channel and you will need a videocipher module in your analog receiver to receive it.

Yes, I was expecting you to say that. Last week I bought a Digicipher2(4DTV) sidecar receiver: Motorola DSR905. I hope this box will do it. I just have to buy the C-Dish and motor unit now to compliment the new 90cm dish setup I just got going. Planning on the 6ft metal dish pkg.
