HH90 Board Replacement

I just received my replacement board for my HH90 from Sadoun.

Just wondering if anyone knows what socket or tool that I can use to remove nuts holding on circut board at coax connectors? It looks like I will need a special thin walled socket or nut driver to get in there.

Also, is there anything else I should know about with regards to replacing this board?

Thanks in advance!

This is how I did mine. I could not find a socket that was thin enough to clear the small holes on the motor housing. Go to any automotive parts store, I went to Autozone. Buy a 10mm deep socket and grind the outside of the socket with a bench grinder until the socket clears the housing and slides on to the 2 nuts that you need to remove to remove the board from the housing.

You will have to remove the solder on the motor to remove the old encoder board and solder the new encoder board to the motor. That is about it. Good luck!

Thanks ftadude!

I was thinking that I may have to do that old mechanics trick of grinding down a cheap socket but I wasn't sure if there was an existing tool that would fit.

I'll attempt the fix this weekend.

they make thin wall sockets but you probally wont find them at a parts store or a hardware store most likely from a tool supplier and for the cost grinding down a cheap socket is the best way to go.

I don't know how far the shoulder of the socket needs to be removed, but if you know some one with a metal lathe, it's a quick process to chuck up the socket and a couple quick passes it's done.

Grinding can be a tough job if a significant amount of material needs to go.
