Question SG2100 Motor - No Power - Why???

I just bought a SG2100 motor from Sadoun for my Viewsat Ultra/Winegard DS2076 dish. When I hooked the motor to the receiver (RG6) I get no power what so ever, anyone have any ideas about that??

Does the LNB have to be connected to complete the circuit?

Thanks!!!

A quick search online for the Ultra did not show it being able to move a motor. I do not own one so can not comment specifically but the site I checked made no mention of DiSEqC 1.2 or above capability.

EDIT:
I did find one site selling a motorized Ultra package so I assume the receiver is capable from that. I have found nothing in a way of online manual so I can be of little help. Is the receiver USALS complaint? If so you will have to input your location data. If your receiver is like most every other you have to program each sat to be used with the motor.

I recently acquired a viewsat ultra and it works terrific with my sg2100. It does not send power to the motor unless it's powered up - which is different than some receivers that send power to the motor/lnb constant when plugged in.

Make sure you have the usals or diseqc settings for the satellite that you are trying to view, and it will work fine. You don't need an lnb to move the motor, but then whats the point

good luck
