Directv DVR receiver

I have a Directv receiver in my bedroom, but am unable to use it to its full potential because you need two lines running to the receiver in order to watch something and record something else at the same time. I can NOT run another line from my satellite dish to the receiver because we just had our house vinyl sided and had all of the existing wired hidden behind the insullation and vinyl. My husband refuses to have a wire running across the outside of our house. Is there any other possible way to to this? We put a multiswitch inside the house where the cable comes in, but that didn't work. There HAS to be another way to get around this!! I can't be the only one having this problem. Please help!!!

Muad'Dib will become famous soon enough
A Multiswitch needs always more than 1 inputs, signals.
Maybe look at the Johansson Stacker.

There's a pretty simple tool (available at most any home improvement store) that allows you to remove one piece of siding by sliding under the joint and hooking around it so that you can unjoin the pieces and then rejoin them later. I'd just fish the 2nd wire under the siding and then remove the piece that needs to be removed in order to drill the hole and route it into the house. Tape things up nicely so that you don't get a buldge under the siding, and put the piece of siding back when you're done.
