Need help to get singal for G3C

Hi:

I need some help to get singal for G3C, I think something is wrong for the setting of my receiver - coolsat 4000.
I'm using it for DN -121. 33" dish. working good. try to aim it to G3C. but can not get singal. this is my setup:

satellite: G3C 95
LNB power: on
LNB type: single
LNB Freq: 10750
22khz: off
diseqc swith: off

then select manual scan,
TP freq: 11780
symbol rate: 20760
Horizontal

move the dish for 6 hours, but never get singal. also try Pansat 2700 receiver, still no luck. What could be wrong? Please for help!!!

Me! Me! Me!

What you need to do is restore the original factory firmware on your receivers.

If you're getting DN 121 on your FTA receiver, then you're stealing it and nobody here is going help you get your hacked box working.

Read the forum rules.

A Dn dish with lnbf's will never work for FTA. You need a FTA dish and lnbf. If you have altered the factory software you need to reinstall the factory software and then we can help you get signal. Dn uses special lnbf's

I don't think there is any reason that the Dishnet 121 dish shouldn't work on G3C. It's plenty big. However since there are different types of dishnet systems, I'm not sure what the differences are, particularly with respect to what you need in terms of 22KHz if you're going through the DN switches. I had a neighbor with a DN 121 dish, I think his was called a SuperDish or something, but it had separate coax connections for the 121 LNBF and for the 2 DBS lnbfs. If you have that type dish, I'd recommend just grabbing the separate coax for the linear lnbf, and not trying to go through the DN switch. If you can't access the separate lnbfs, I guess you're stuck, and may have to experiment, or find someone who is familiar with your specific hardware. But it should be possible.
However the other issue is aiming. The Superdish I saw, was designed to receive 110, 119, and 121, so the 121 reception is kind of off to the side of the overall aim of the dish, and also since it's linear, the tilt of the assembly is important, and that tilt will be different if you're trying to aim at G3c.
Anyway, it should be possible, but it may take a bit of work to get it to work. Sorry I'm not more familiar with your hardware. I was hoping that my neighbor would give me his dish when he moved, but I guess the new owners must have wanted it.

Sorry bout that totally forgot about 121 being linear. I have a super dish in the top of the barn and they do offer some surface BUT how much of that surface is devoted to signal trap? I would assume the same area of dish as a single lnbf DN dish which would make it to small. After all the shape is there to be able to catch 3 sats. At the same time I have a KTI 3 lnbf dish that is just an 18". Who knows In reference to the dish "tilt" just set the tilt to what your skew setting should be for the sat in question and that should resolve that problem.

Yeah, it might be a bit on the small size. I was thinking that after I hit submit, and almost went back to remove the "plenty big" sentence. But I think there's a reasonable chance he can receive something (I assume the Chinese channels) on G3C.

As per above, I think it should work. Would be better if the dish was a bit bigger, and aiming the thing could be a bit tricky, but it should work.

All your settings seem right.

Depending upon where you are, the 30" dish should be fine. I'm using a 20" x 30" ChannelMaster, and I swung it over to G3C last night and am having no problems getting CCTV. My LO and channel settings are the same as yours.

Of course, make sure your LNB setting is correct for the type of LNB you are using.

I'm guessing you are having an issue with aiming.
