I have a mercury 2 reciever and want to add a new sat "ku" I put in a name and degrees and the low freeq and hi freeq and save it.I use usals for the motor and when i get to the new position and scan for the sat i get nothing.
any help I am kind of new to ku stuff but not c-band antiques.

No-one can help if you don't say what equipment you have {other than the mercury, ie lnb, dish, motor}, what data you've entered into the receiver, what sat you're trying to find, what transponder you're trying to find, and what you have done. You can't just say that it didn't work.
