0-30% maximum signal on IA5 KU,, is it the LNB

I am trying to install a 31" Fortech dish with a Fortec reciever. Last year it was working fine, then I put it in a storage for 8 months. now I am trying to reinstall it to recieve IA5 KU channels. but I am not able to get more than 30% signal strength and the signal is jumping up and down. any ideas?

Do you think that the LNB might need to be changed?

doubt it thats the first thing everybody suspects and very seldom the problem. make sure you have the lo in the receiver set right 9750/10600 and recheck your alignment. most likely it is out of alignment a little. also check and make sure you are using a active TP.

ps: also check your cable ends coud have corroded some during storage.
