Question Galaxy25 "11836 V 20770 3/40" Problems

Hi All

I live in New York and I have had the Satellite working fine, tuned to IA5/Galaxy 25 for over 2 years. But recently I have noticed that at night, the channels thare are running off the frequency (11836, V, 20770, 3/4). are choppy and flat out unwatchable!!!

Has anyone else experienced this? I have checked everything, cable, tight dish, tight connections, reset satellite receiver...

Any ideas? I appreciated your help. Thank you

I've noticed a similar problem. Two or three Galaxy-25 transponders do it.

Might be the size of the dish, or the pointing.....Galaxy-16, at 99 degrees (2 degrees away) has HITS ("Headend in the Sky") programming on the same polarity, at 11820 (V). Maybe it's getting in somehow. Cooler, moist air at night might explain it.

At times, I've had luck tweaking the dish while on that particular transponder, even though it looked to be peaked already.

galaxy 25 should be retiring soon so they may be cutting the power some at night bigger dish will help keep it from breaking up. expect new sat in that location later this year.
