Exclamation Getting the right equipment - Help

Hello,

I'm just starting out and it seems the more I read the more confusing it seems to get. Maybe at my age that is to be expected

I am getting all my equipment together before I start my installation but I have (on order) a Toroidal 90 from Wave Frontier with 6 Dual Output LNBFs. At this time I only have one Sonic View 8000HD but I haven't decided on my other receivers yet.

My BIG plan is I want to be able to put in 7 receivers in my house. It is already wired for cable so what I'm a looking for is suggestions on what kind and how many Multi-Switches and Diseqc switches I need.

I've already called Sodoun about cable and connectors so I just need the switches to complete the order. Also I know you can get on Ebay and find a lot of this stuff but I'm looking for quality products and not something I may have problems installing, not working, or just breaking after a few months. As the old saying goes "If it's worth doing it's worth doing right!"

BTW I've already call Sodoun on this issue and am waiting for them to get back with me. I'm sure they are busier than a one eyed cat watching to mouse holes but if I can get the info from this forum I'll just order on line.

TIA
David

switch type depends on what sats you are trying to receive.
What is the sat list for the T90, and what lnb type are you using?

Exclamation Getting the right equipment - Help

Well I am wanting to get 82W, 91W, 97W, 101W, 110W, 119W and 121W. I understand that 82W might take a bit of tinkering to get it right.

As for the LNBs they are provided by Wave Frontier with the dish but they are M20R and Z20L models.

The M20Rs are:
Dual Output
Frequency Range: 12.2 Ghz - 12.7 Ghz
Noise Figure: 0.6 dB

The Z20Ls are:
Dual Output
Noise Figure: 0.6 dB LNBF
Frequency Range: 11.7 Ghz - 12.25 Ghz

Sorry for the confusion but is this the information you wanted? I got this right off the web site.
David

Except for 97 and 101, the other sats have no FTA channels.
