hello, new to the forum, i hope this is the right place to post a question, do you need a dp44 switch to connect the 1000.2 dish. with the 622 receiver? regards...

No, you don't need a DPP44 switch to do that. In fact you can just run one cable to the VIP622 receiver, then use the DPP splitter that comes with the receiver to split the line into two.

You will only need a DPP44 switch if you have another dish pointing at another orbital location (i.e. 61.5, 148, etc).

Just a correction. the DPP splitter would not work. You'll need to use a SEPARATOR which does come with any dual tuner receiver. The separator separates higher frequency and lower frequency. It does not split the signal.

Another correction. No you do not need switch if you want to connect another dish pointed to a 4th orbit location. The lnb has an input to connect the fourth orbit location to the same lnb without using any switches. The only time you need a switch is when you have more than 3 receivers (or up to 6 tuners if using dual tuner receivers).
