what do the icons mean on Lyngsat.com????
I find it very difficult to navigate the site because they don't seem to have a key or guide that explains the different types of contents for their charts. Am I just missing something? What does, A, U, F, P, L and whatnot mean?
Also, I've guesed that the "F" means that it's a free feed but some I can't get. How do I know if a feed will work with my reciever? Thanks! |

lets see, the 'A" icon is the mailing address of the channel, "L" icon means the channel has a feed on the internet, "U" icon is used to show who provides the uplink(ground station to satellite then back to earth), "F" icon means the channel is free (no encrytption), "P" icon means a group of channels in a package(ie. dishnetwork and so on), and for what will work with your reciever, goto the bottom of a page and use the color code to match up what channels ae free, alot of the tiem some channels are listed as free but are encrypted.
