    Canal Algerie

I recently lost reception of Canal Algerie when the channel was recently moved to (11789 V, 25000 MS/s, FEC 3/4 on IntelAmerica5 97W). I followed all instructions but I am not able to get any reception. My signal strength is 80% but signal quality on a good day is 35%. I suspect the quality is too low for clear reception and if so what do I need to do to improve it?
I tried moving the dish but that is the best I can get.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Canal Algerie

I have a 30" dish. I fixed the problem by deleting all channels and transponders and manually entering Canal Algerie first then scan it and it worked whereas if you do an auto scan then manually add other channels it runs out of transponders. My Samsung goes up to 18 TR.

    Problems with IA5 TP (11966-H 22000)

    Hello,

I live in Houston, Texas. I seem to be having problems with IA5 TP (11966-H 22000). Other transponders from IA5 are coming in OK, but 11966 comes intermittently. I am especially interested in watching Russia Today. The signal from 11966 has become very weak over the last few days.

I have a 36" dish with a mercury II receiver. I would hate to realign the dish unnecessarily. Please give any suggestions. Thank you.

IA-5 is so funny... it's almost like every transponder has its own signal strength, but usually most are quite low in quality. I have a 80cm dish and my CW600 shows 26% qual on some of the lower TPs, and some TPs I dont get anything at all ... quite varying.. oh , well.. that's the way it goes..d'oh!

that is a weak TP I pull it in at about 45% when its a clear day if it is cloudy or raining it comes and goes.

    Realign?

Will we will have to re-align our dishes when the new satellite, IA-9, is launched later this year?
