    11966 Signal Quality

    Hello,

I was wondering what the signal quality of TP 11966 is in different parts of America. Here in Houston, I am getting between 35-40%. A few weeks ago, it was in the 50's. Nothing in my setup has changed. Other transponders are mostly in the 50's for me for Intelsat 5. Just curious. Thanks.

The IA5 transponders don't look particularly weak to me. What I think the problem is, is interferrence from G-16 next to it. On my big dish, some of the transponders are somewhat weaker than others, but are still what I would call average compared to other sats, and are strong enough that they shouldn't give people any problems. However on my 90CM, the transponders look like they are being wiped out by interferrence from nearby sats, particularly G-16, which I'm guessing is stronger than the old G4.
I think people are starting to see the problems due to 2 deg spacing, when you get a strong sat next door. Just my guess.

    Tp 11966 Ia-5

IA-5 TP 11966 comes in at 59 to 79 % in West Virginia IA-5 has almost all of the free to air channels that are worth watching. But I have a question guys. I can't get any of the KU channels from the Galaxyrku Satelite123 degrees west I belive that is what it is does one need a bigger dish for that one.
