elgemcdlf,
you missed my point.
I have the setup working. WHat I wanted to do, was pass the video signal thru the ultra so I can switch back & forth so I can see both the Ultra setup screen, and the C band reciever's screen. Really need to see both at the same time to make things easy to operate...
Actually, I solved the problem by routing the C band via RG-6 video cable to the tuner on my monitor (and CH3 input) and use S-video on the fortec to the monitor.
Still a pain, as I now have 3 remotes to juggle to change things around.
WHat I now ended up doing was put a small 3" tv on the Ultra's Video out RCA jack, now I can adjust V/H and dish position and watch the C band on the bigger monitor screen.

Do not think I missed it. If you reverse slave as per the diagrams you can use the TV/SAT button on the remote allowing you to quickly switch back and forth. On your C Band receiver the button may be called source.

I guess I'm just not seeing what you guys are trying to tell me.
Some one needs to draw me the picture, using the Ultra as the master.
And, the Ultra has S-video going to the TV monitor. I'd like to retain that connection, as the Ultra also outputs AC-3 to a decoder I am using.

I know this is extra hardware, but I have one of those RS 4 input A/V switches. I have C-band, Fortec Ultra, DCII , and Fortec Lifetime going into the 4 inputs, and can switch between them via one keystroke. You can choose any key on any remote to switch you to the input you want.Originally Posted by pmb1010
It works pretty well, except that I chose the wrong key for my fortecs. Ie I chose the "Exit" key, which means if I'm in the antenna tuning section, and want to go back to C-band to do something, then to get back to Fortec, I have to hit Exit, which takes me out of the antenna section. So I need to choose another key, perhaps volume or something, that won't take me out of a menu.
Ok Split your lines coming in from the lnbf. You need to bring both lines in and bypass the internal DiSeqC. Now one leg of each split goes to the 2 inputs on the analog receiver. The other 2 go into a DiSeqC switch and on to the DVB receiver. Now the output of the analog receiver goes to the Antenea in on the DVB receiver. Need to run DC Pass on one leg of the splitters and that leg should be for the DVB receiver.. Now if I did this rightyou should be able to watch TV utilizing the SVideo out to the TV from the DVB receiver and when you hit the ANT/SAT button your analog receiver should be showing on the screen. Hit the button again and the DVB receiver is showing.
You might dig around a bit. Perhaps your analog receiver is capable of handling lnbf's
