Great news, Joe!
After you finish with setup, you may check your old LNB, I bet, it's good.
BTW, korean channels are on IA5, AMC4 and G10R (found one there recently)
Thanks. Well, if the LNB is good then the dish is bent out of whack or something. As I recall, the packaging was not in the greatest shape when it arrived via FedEx ground. With my new dish, and even another dish I played with using the meter, I can move the dish around as fast as if I was aiming and shooting at planes in the sky and can tell very clearly when I went past a sat because the meters beeps. I do not have to go slow to get a signal. To lock is another story but to just get a signal I can move the dish around as fast as I want. With the meter, I can still tell I’m near a sat even after a ½ or ¾ of an inch past the sat.Originally Posted by boroda1
With the trouble dish, I got no sat signals at all. Not even one.
Take care.

Congrats, Joe!
As I mentioned before, I think we've been having parallel experiences! I was out for another tweaking session with the dish yesterday, and as I was pushing up, pulling down and generally manipulating the dish to check alignment, I happened to flex it slightly and had signal strength shoot up! This wasn't just a matter of elevation or azimuth adjustment because I could not reproduce the effect except by flexing the dish!
So...I've had (1) a deaf receiver, (2) a self-oscillating and noisy LNB, and maybe a dish that really was stepped on by the delivery man. Stuff really does happen...
Glad you finally got good reception.
Bob
