Fortec used to have that on their 100cm and 120cm dishes. I tought it was excellent attachement.
Hey all I run a fabrication factory in my real life. I have looked at the bottom area of the FTA dishes I have put in and was thinking about a screw driven adjustment tool or possibly a permanant attachment to the dish for setting declination.
Those familiar with big dishes could consider it something like what they presently have just on a much smaller scale. I was thinking fine thread.
Thoughts?

sounds great, in fact... just remember -- don't be cheap. Stainless hardware, please.![]()
My initial thinking was something that could be used and removed to be used on another install. A tool not a permanant addition to the dish. Would not neccessarily have to be from material all that great but I would go grade 8. Maybe a hook end that would slide between the dish and it's framework and then apply pressure to the motor shaft in order to alter adjustment. This distance is pretty wide thus allowing for a large area of thread to be used making it easy to use in many different applications.
