    Needs some waterproofing tips

    Hey guys, hows it going?

I need some tips on how to make my switch waterproof as well as the coaxial connectors. My switch just died because all the inputs/outputs rusted and connectors. Just HOW can i protect them from this hideous water? #-o

for the connectors try some wax seal or dielectric grease which is a silicone base. for the switch try to shelter it from the weather with an old inner tube.also put drip loops in your cable so water will run away from
connector and switch. hope this helps

    Water proofing switchs

For the normal 4X1 switch that comes with the box you can use a plastic travel soap dish. The switch will fit inside the box and there is enough room for you to cut out slots for the cables. After installing in box is RTV compound to seal where the cables go in and you should be set.
If you are not part of the solution, open your eyes, your part of the problem.

Also, use weatherboots on your connectors:
