use a surveyor or forestery compass they have the degrees on the face make's it alot easier got mine at wal=marts years ago.

Rainman, let me ask you a question about this...

the dishnetwork says install at following
160 Azimuth,
49 Elevation,
85 Skew,

The elevation is the up and down, the azimuth is what I find on the compass, and whats the skew? and also the elevation and azimith Im right correct?

yes you are right on azimuth and elevation. the skew is the lnb degree which on dish network i thank you must rotate dish.

I know how to install the system, but how far have you gotten? Do you need info. from start to finish? The friend I use to get them from is no longer available to help me. I am sure I can talk you all of the way thru.
