Will Direct TV slimline dish work with any FTA receiver?

I got a slimline 3 dish left by former owner. I bought a FTA receiver and hope to see chinese tv on 95c sat. I put the dish to the right direction but no signal was picked. Does any one know could this dish get 95c and work with any receiver? I didn't find any thing in the menu of the receiver to set the dish.By the way, the receiver i am using is Viewsat Ultra2000

Couple possible problems with using that dish.
    1) DTV uses circular polarization where FTA uses linear polarity
You need something like this KBSL1 Sadoun bandstacked Single lnbf

2)That dish is a bit small for FTA uses. You need at least a 31inch or larger to receive the signals on G3C 95.0W
Checks these out: Free to air (FTA) Satellite Dish Offset Prime Focus Fortec Star Winegard KTI

    3) You will need to set the LO Frequency of the LNB in the receiver's setup menus.
Then enter this transponder into it 11780/H/20760 then search for signal/quaility.
I hope that helps. In short that tiny dish will not work.
