What is the maximum distance I can place a Ku and/or C dish from the receiver? There is no power available at the dish for an active amplifier or anything else that needs power.
I have about 125' of coax. If you have not bought the coax yet get solid copper core, but a good coax with copper coated core and high percent of braid such as 85% to 100% should work if the run is not real long try to keep your connections as few as you posibility can. I have KU only.

I like to shop at Sadoun Satellite sales.
10-FT ChannelView solid, 10-FT Channel Master mess on Ajax 180 mount, 10-FT Channel Master mess on CM H2H mount, 12-FT Paraclispe w/circular c-band, 1.2m on HTS H2H mount, Eagle 90cm w/Pansat-900 motor. 2 many receivers an fixed ku dishes to list.
About 200 feet. Not sure if I'm going to do yet though.
I have 150 feet and still get good signal. For the outside cable, I highly recommend getting the one with the built-in ground wire attached to a grounding block. An nearby lightening strike will FRY your entire entertainment center if you don't ground it.
Sadoun's M1 package
80 cm Fortec dish, Invacom LNB, SM3D12 Fortec Classic NA receiver.
I have about 150 feet of coax and power lines for C and Ku bands. They worked fine for 150 feet. Piece of cake. I should add 50 feet into the setup to see if it works fine for you, but I may not be able to until late June.
Best...
