    Dog ate my remote!!

I have a V-Box II I bought from Sadoun a few months ago. Yesterday while out taking down another 10' bud I found for free the dog ate my remote. Does Sadoun sell replacement remotes for the V-Box or does anyone know where I can find one, or even a universal unit?

    remote

Give SADOUN a call, maybe the sell them.

I don't know how do you use your VBOX but do you know that the VBOX marries to the STB thru coax?

This allows you to use the STB remote to move the antenna.

This is true but I had to do some work on the dish and everything changed so I have to find all the sats again. With the coolsat 6000 I have this is a major pain in the butt. With the vbox I can inch it around rather than go through a bunch of menus just to move the dish. The way I do it is find the sat, unplug the the vbox ( otherwise the stb want to keep moving the dish every time I do something) , program the channels and rename them then plug the box back in and go to the next sat. The problem with the coolsat is that every time you want to go through and delete channels or save something it wants to move the dish around. Very aggravating. Long story short it is just easier for me to use the vbox to find the sats and program them in as I go.

    I know the pain

My dog, as a puppy growing those first two years chewed every remote I bought.... I think every month I had to go out and buy a new remote for the tv... I must have bought 15 or so. Through constant training and a little hot pepper on the remote he got out of that habit. As soon as you get a new remote.. rub some hot pepper on it, and try to keep it out of the way.

What kind of dog is he? Mine is a wire haired fox terrier.
VA 39N, 78W, Mercury II, Fortec 31", 36", 72", SG2100, DG-280, H180 (two DSR-922's sitting in a closet and to be the next project) HDTV TV with no pay tv.

She's a lab/ shepherd mix. She's only 6 months and chews everything except what she is supposed to to be chewing on. I tried black pepper on a few places but all that did was make her mad and caused her to dig harder. But hot pepper on the other hand may do the trick, along with me remembering to put things away. Thanks for the idea

I think it is time to call the "dog whisperer" for your dog .

Call us on Monday and talk to Brent. He should have a remote for your V-Box II.

Or you could order a replacement remote here:

    dog whisperer... hah ha...

Yeah, Labs love to eat anything. We had a neighborhood chocolate lab that was named 'Brick'. He was the friendliest dog and would eat anything. It was rumoured that he even ate a light bulb once....
Get her a chew toy and pepper your remote...
