DP301 locks up during Switch Test

Brand new DP301. Plugged in, ran Switch Test, found my SW64 and all 3 sats. Forced me to download a software update. Unplugged Sat, ran Check Switch again, no switch found (expected). Reconnected Sat, ran Check Switch again ( and again and again ...), it locks at test #15 out of 38. Can not do anything but power down.
Dishnetwork says receiver is bad, but it worked before.
Has anyone had this problem?
Can I reset everything back to original?

You can try 2 things:

1) Reset to factory defaults - found on the SYSTEM SETUP & INSTALLATION menu

2) Perform a memory dump: from the DIAGNOSTICS screen use the remote buttons as follows:

-quickly press INFO , arrow right , arrow left one after the other
-press TV/VIDEO to dump the memory

The Restore factory defaults did not have any effect.
I will try the memory dump tonite.
Any other "undocumented" tricks for the DP301, maybe one for a hard reset?

Special Considerations
Front Panel Reset - the unit can be reset by holding the Power button on the front panel for approximately five seconds. (same as model 6000)
