can i use a bigger dish like a 36" with dishnetwork while using the dishnetwork quad i am using now? does it bolt up to the new dish or do i need to adapt it? and will it help me from losing my signal . any help would be great.

While a bigger dish will certainly improve signal strength you will have trouble adapting your quad "Fat Boy" LNB to fit a bigger dish. Are you sure you need a bigger dish? First see if anything is partially blocking the signal path -- trees, etc. Perhaps you could relocate the dish to a different spot. With a clear line of sight to the satellite a standard Dish 500 20" pan will bring in a good signal.

IC

Well... you could always rig up a 30" or 36" FTA dish and try to attach the quad LNB with wire ties or (God forbid) duct tape  I've seen it done and with a bunch of fiddling and a truckload of patience it will work...
