Does anyone know where I can ship a defective motor?

Hi all,

I have a quick question about pursuing a repair on my motor:

I'm simply trying to find out who to send the unit to; I have a Digipower SG2100 motor; worked fine for about 2 months, but now needs repair and/or replacement.

I searched for a Digipower home site or contact info; cannot find one .. must be one, I just could not get it.

I went ahead and filled out an online RMA form with Sadoun, but actually that's really only for "within 30 day return" situations ... after 30 days equipment must go to the manufacturer - makes sense, but I am unable to continue until I get a place to send it.

I did get one response over on Satelliteguys forum that pointed me to a place for parts ... that might even be an option, though if I open the unit, I am sure I will void the warrantee.

I'd like to shovel the whole thing intact off to a repair place before I do that.

Ouch! What timing! I'm gonna miss whatever NFL game is being shown on Fox this weekend! ... oh well, time to drop in on the neighbors, I guess.

If you bought it from Sadoun I would give them a call and see how they want to handle it.they may have you send it to them and they will take care of it from there don't know for sure but worth a try.

I did review their return policy carefully; they explicitly state that after 30 days, DO NOT send back to them; must go to the manufacturer.

Must be a source for Digipower Co. info ... darn hard to find;

Anyone know how to contact Digipower?

I had a similar problem, and also reviewed the poilicy, but manufacturer of my motor is in Slovenia, so I did call Sadoun, and they took care of it very quickly.
Just call them first!

Info from Sadoun website:
Sadoun Digipower SG2100

"Warranty: 1 year manufacturer's warranty serviced by us. We only service Digipower SG2100 motor that has our sticker on it and with dated receipt."

In case they sold in past differently branded SG2100, call them anyway, to find out what to do

Wow, thanks a mil' guys,

The original receipt, which came in that big jumbo box with everything (I upgraded to the 36" dish) looked very much like a printout of the invoice in the form as it was mailed back to me. May I send hat?

Rumproast face, I'd be curious to know what problem you are having with your motor. I also have the sg2100 purchased from Sadoun. My problem is the motor freezes up & won't move, or at times will only move to the west. Right now it is hung up & won't move at all. Weather is bad so will have to wait to get on roof again. I have eliminated the cable by replacing the connectors, taking the dish down & putting a short cable from receiver to motor on my workbench. Reset motor & receiver numerous times. I am not sure if it is receiver (Coolsat 5000) trouble or motor (don't know how to eliminate). Don't want to open because of warranty, but also don't want to ship motor and get charged if it is good.
