A DishNet LNB will not work for FTA stuff - you need a linear polarity LNB such as the one that Sadoun sent you.
I'll post a lot more later to help you with your problems. Got to go right now.

Does anyone know if the Dish Network LNB's (such as the LNB with two F-type connectors that is used for dish 500) will work on FTA receivers? I have a satcruiser 101P and the LNB I bought from Sadoun never allows me to find a signal stronger than 29 on the scale, and the dish LNB is giving me signals as strong as 47, but neither one of them have allowed me to lock onto anything. I don't know what the problem is, but I wasted a day yesterday trying to troubleshoot it...
BTW, I searched the sky for telstar 5 for hours without luck by following these instructions: http://sadoun.com/Sat/Products/Satcruiser/Instruct.htm
Thanks for the help!

Typical Local Oscillator frequencies for LNBFs
Standard KU (11.7-12.2 GHz)
LO: 10750
Universal KU (10.7-12.75 GHz)
LO low: 9750, LO Hi: 10600
DSS LNBF (12.2 - 12.75 GHz)
LO: 11250
Anytime you swap LNBFs, make sure your MPEG2 receiver is setup with the correct LNBF LO freq. as above.
Also, make sure you are using a LIVE trasnponder for checking signal and quality. If one transponder is not working, try another one. 12152 is a strong transponder on T5, for example.
Best of luck![]()
