Which Switch??

I have a dish with 2 lnb's connected into a "Y" adapter (110 and 119 satellites) and attached to SW21. Now I want to add the dish 121 west. Please inform me on what switch do I need to add to combine all these satellites into one output. Can I just connect the sat 121 and sat 110/119 from SW21 to SW21X then output to my receiver???Will it work? Or do I need any other type of switch? Thanks in advance. :? :?:

you can use either cascading a SW21X and a SW21 or switch the 2 Duals at 110 & 119 for a Dish Legacy TWIN (with the two LNB's together) and use the SW21 to tie the 121 in

Please don't mislead him. Diseqc switch won't work with DN receivers.

I'm using a DP301 receiver for DN, and I just put up a dish for the 121 bird. I had a separate receiver set up to dial in the signal strength, which I managed to get in around 80 (on the 0-125 scale).

Then I installed a SW21X in for my 110 and 119 feeds and then a regular SW21 for the 121 plus the output of the SW21X... but I couldn't get it to work. When I ran the CHECK SWITCH function on the DP301, it wouldn't find the 121. I tried it as a "SuperDish" and as an "Alternate", but neither would work. It would show 3 LNBs in the test results, but there would just be "X"s for the third satellite.

When I switched back to just the 110/119 pairing, I left the SW21X there and it installed fine, but now shows as a SW42 switch???

Am I missing a step or doing something wrong?

Thanks

I don't think it's the LNB... I have installed a linear LNB on a 24 inch dish and was able to get 70-80 signal strength on a 2700 receiver... and while connected straight to the dish with the 2700, I was able to watch several channels featured on 121 (as outlined by Lyngsat). But that was stand alone. When I tried to connect the new dish to my 110/119 system, that's when the problem came... so I think it's in the switch somehow.

I have a dual linear LNB, and when I was using my old 2700 to dial in the signal and verify the channels... only about half the channels showed up. Upon further research, I learned that both sides of the LNB have to be connected because of the polarity of the linear LNB. So I installed a multi-switch between the LNB and the SW21X switch.
