Dish lnb and Directv lnb

Is there any difference between a dish and directv lnb. Can I take
directv lnb and tie it onto a fortec dish and use it for dish tv.

I appreciate the answer. I didn't think it was, but wanted to be sure.
Can I take the lnb and tie it parallel to the ku lnb on a fortec dish?

:?: OK, so does that mean I can use a Fortec 786NA receiver with my DTV dish and LNB? Will that setup be able to decode Nagravision?

Bigby.

Yes, the FTA channels from DishNet (not many though). All the audio channels are FTA. For other linear satellites such such IA5 (Telstar5)...., you will need a linear ku lnbf.
