Would anybody know how to reset the soft limits(or hard limits) for SG2100 ?
My sg2100 motor stopped moving yesterday, here is what happed:
I was trying to replace my LNB yesterday so I moved my dish to the most east (37degree) satellite from my nFusion HD (using USALS), so I could reach my LNB from my bedroom window, the motor moved to that position and then I powered my receiver off (hard switch behind the receiver) to freeze the dish. after I replaced my LNB then I turned my receiver on and found that my motor would not move anymore.
I tried to press the control button on the motor (the east/west combined control button) and the motor could move, but was not responsing to the receiver, I tried hardware reset the motor (move the motor to 0 degree using the control button and hold the reset button for two seconds), but it didn't solve the problem.
I did some reading on this issue and some people said a factory default on the receiver could help, but it didn't work for me, I am guessing that the motor itself is fine but somehow it received an invalid command or remembered an wrong reference, or like some other people said, it might be "told" that it had reached the most east limit, so it is not moving anymore.
Something I want to try is to reset the soft (or hard) limits on the motor, but I don't know how to do it.
Not sure if anyone know what could have happened and if I still have chance to fix my motor.

I don't know the SG2100 at all, but you did say that you could move the motor with the east and west buttons I presume that it does move. You said you changed the LNB, have you tried to put the old one back in and try it. Make sure your coax didn't get messed up at the LNB. Try to move the motor without the LNB connected. I had a bad LNB that made my motor do funny things, a new cured it. Check your manual if you still have it. If not maybe you can find one on-line!

Thanks for the hint, I didn't know a LNB could screw up the coax, I will give it a try.
What I meant was you, could have messed up the coax in the process of changing the LNB, in my case the bad LNB affected the movement of the motor, it moved about five time and quit etc. I know how frustrating it can be. I had the motor, and the receive tested, replaced all my coax but it was the LNB, the new one worked fine. Now I have upgraded to the LPN-031 LNB. Yesterday we had some freezing rain I couldn't some TP's I hope it is just ice on the dish, we'll see today...............good luck.
