question about latitude and the SG-2100

I have a couple of questions before I go up on top of the roof to install stuff.

concerning the Invacom lnbf....for anybody that is familiar with them...you know that the outputs are as follows.....C L C L

*Which one do I go into and use??? The circular???? or the linear???? or both???? and if it is both how do you recommend w/ respect to the RG6 cable????

NEXT QUESTION WHICH IS REALLY A biggy FOR ME.....

My motor is a SG-2100 and on the scale it has elevation on one side and latitude on the other side....

following so far???? I hope so....

the scale for elevation is ......25 to 75
and the scale for latitude is...15 to 65

now this is where I am confused a bit. I believe I am supposed to set the latitude to where I am at right now BUT I am at LATITUDE 11.13 NORTH and the LAT scale does not go that low so where DO I set it at??? I am at a blank on this.

on the invacom c stands for circular and L stands for linear I got both ports hooked up on mine . 1 cable fro L to disqec switch port 1 .
1 cable from the C side to port 2 of the disqec switch then the cable out of the disqec switch to the motor then motor to receiver. sorry can't help you on the motor don't have one.

I really recommend that you post your question to the dish manufacturer. You're well inside the tropics, so your view of the Clarke Belt is pretty much overhead. The mount provided with that motor may not work for you. If you have access to a machine shop, you might be able to work with someone to build you and mount with the extended range that you need to handle the tropical angle.

I'm very interested in hearing how you deal with this since I imagine that there is a large population in a similar situation.

It sounds like you may have to set something up as trial and error.
First, find your true south... I would use sun calculations for that.
Mount your dish to a true vertical pole and tune into your true south satellite. Once it is obtained, measure the angle set for your dish and this is the angle your dish will have to be when it is mounted on your motor.

Then install your mounting pole so it is not truely vertical. Install it so it leans to the north, say 20 or 30 degrees. What ever angle it leans to the north, set your motor to that angle and see if that gets you on an arc.... Mount your dish and motor to the leaning pole so it has the same angle as when you had the stationary dish setup. Your pole needs to lean to true north. Basically, by leaning the pole, you are tricking the motor of thinking it is at a different latitude. This will take a lot more adjustment than a proper setup.

The other option is to use an HH180 motor which seems to have a simple arc path that can be aimed more directily to the arc. I am not sure if that motor works with an offset dish though...

Keep it simple.
At latitude 11° there are no circular polarized satellites to the best of my knowledge.
Everything that you can get down there on Ku is linear.
Do you mind giving us your exact coordinates?
With that information we can tell you exactly what you can see.
You may not have use for that kind of LNB.
