I received a dish network (echostar) receiver over the holidays, I am wondering what other equipment I will need.......specif, I am needing to know what equipment I need to receive my local channels (DFW, Dallas), plus the basic pakage, and also subscribe for TvJapan. I am already scheduled for services starting next month, but want to get the equipment set up as soon as possible.

Hi

You will need a SuperDISH 105 for your local channels. You will need another dish (DISH 300) for 61.5 to view TV JAPAN (NHK). To link these together you will need a DISHPRO DP34 switch to connect 119,105,and 61.5 together. You can't connect 110 to the switch since it has only 3 inputs. DP44 switch which has 4 inputs and 4 outputs will be introduced later in the year by dish network.

You can call DN and have them install the system for you. Tell them what you need and they will provide it. If you don't want to commit to 1 year of locals and TV Japan, then you will have to buy the above items yourself.
