Motor wont move! Please help.

I just installed the motor. It will not move east or west. I tried pressing both east and west buttons and it will not move. I am thinking the reason is because I am not using an RG 6 cable. The cable Im using says CATV on it and it is about 75 feet long. Does anyone know if this may be the reason? I am able to view channels etc but when i try to move it the motor light starts blinking and then turns orange. After a few seconds it turns back to green.

It's possible you may have a bad connection. Try this, find a short wire like 6 ft (RG6) and connect it from your receiver to your motor. If that doesn't work, you may have a bad motor. 75 ft is not an issue; I have at least 120 ft of cable between the receiver and motor. If you have a friend with a good motor, you can try to swap it out, if it doesn't work, then you may have a defective receiver.
