General motor question

Jsut picked up a spm-990 motor for my brother for $20 comes with no instructions..

i have a HH-90 at home that i was able to install pretty easy, would i install the spm motor in the same manner?? IE: elevation etc or is it different for each motor?

can i use the HH-90 pointing guide on this site for directions??

Thanks!

The angles for the motor should be the same, assuming you're using the same type scale (ie latitude or elevation), however the dish elevation can be different for different motors. The dish elevation is the angle of the bend in the motor shaft minus your declination, so you'd have to determine the angle that the shaft bends. This can be anywhere from 30 to 46.5 in different motors.
