is dp34 switch compatible with expressvu receiver?
currently i have a sw21 switch installed, however, it's not compatible with the twinhan card. i was also told that standard diseqc switch is needed for mytheatre to work, but they r not compatible with expressvu ird (i use 3100 now). i found the dp34 switch which is diseqc compatible, but not sure if i could use it, anybody has idea?

What are you trying to achieve here? I don't follow. The ExpressVu 3100 (really a DishNet 301 in drag) should be DishPro compatible - whether or not the ExpressVu software can recognize DishPro switches is another story - but I don't see how this all ties in with Twinhan cards and MyTheatre stuff.

i need to connect the dish to both IRD and twinhan card, right now, only IRD works fine. twinhan card can't find all the channels, when scanning nimiq1, it returns some nimiq1 channels and some nimiq2 channels, totally random.

The DishPro technology is NOT campatible with ExpressVu. Only Legacy switches, LNB's, and such are.

That's funny - then I wonder what that little "DP" symbol means on the back of my ExpressVu 3100 receiver means?? Hmmm...

the Expressvu 3100 is identical on the outside to the Dish Network 301 (or as you put it, a Dish 301 in drag), which is "Dish Pro compatible" (the DP301). There are some differences in the equipment (such as the DP301's guides automatically stores 46 hours of data in the system, no "no info available".)
I have both and I know for a fact that Expressvu won't work with DishPro technology. The software wont support it (yet). Been there, tried that.

That's cool - ExpressVu should take a hint from DishNet.
