HELP ME! RCA HD34 Moniter

I'm needing help or any advice! I have a RCA HD34 Moniter that is having problems starting up. When I power on through the remote it tries to come on three times and nothing. It's been doing this for a short time and as of yesterday it just never came back on. Any ideas???

It might be a power supply problem. It tries to "start" three times and after those failures it stops. Are you able to hear any high pitch whines or clicking while this is happening?

have you tried just unplugging it for a while? letting it discharge maybe overnight?

I know that this probably isn't any help, but I used to have a TV that acted like this once. I checked out various voltages and found that the voltage was wrong very near the AC power plug. It's been a long time, but I remember that there was some kind of AC voltage control around the power. I tried to fix it but failed, and finally just put the TV on a variac (ie a variable transformer that allowed me to adjust the AC voltage going into the TV). On the variac, the TV worked fine. I can't remember if the voltage was too high or too low (I think too high). The variac plugged into 120V AC, and the output was variable from zero to 140, so I had the capability of increasing or decreasing the voltage. I think the TV had some sort of protection that kept it from turning on if the AC voltage wasn't within a certain range. This was a TV from about 20 yrs ago and went bad about 10 yrs ago, so modern TVs are surely different, plus you probably don't have access to a variac to experiment, but just posted as it could be a problem even prior to the DC power supply, and/or perhaps the AC power in your house is too high or low. I know that this particular TV worked fine where I used to live, but I moved to a place that had AC power that was a bit on the high side ( like 122 ), and the TV wouldn't work in the new house.
