The BEC6600 receivers are discontinued (we used to sell them 4 years ago). I would recommend the Fortec Star Mercury II receiver. It has a fast processor, enough memory, and crisp clear picture (through the S-Video or the Component video outputs)
hello all, wonder if we ever had anyone asking about which FTA receivers are the best in terms of trouble free, easy to use, automatic udpates of transponders, easy programming, reliable, flexible, expandable, adaptable to new technology? If not, please help me out. I currently have BEC6600+ and thinking about buying an additional receiver. Thanks.

BECs were nice with a capital "N" - we used to stock these too and I was always impressed by their build quality and features - too bad they are gone...![]()

For as much as I like to help out our members I simply do not have time to answer Private Messages or emails asking about setup and other general issues. Please post your questions in the forums and we will try to help you out. Thanks.
hehe...
I still have a BEC 6600+ here
Still use it .. and STILL like it
Also have some clone .. with the same menues that BEC 6600+ has..
And it's s/w or the receiver itself.. shows channel SID # right on screen there, without the need to dump the receiver...
original BEC 6600+ doesn't show SID # on tv screen though...
Oh well.. still love and use both of those receiver![]()
