why are you worried about 61.5 nothing on there unless you are a dish network customer.![]()
Hello:
I am trying to install a FC06-180 cm dish for the 61.5 satellite. I can find many signals but none are 110 119 or 61.5. I am using no switch for now just one at a time. The LNB is the same one I have been using for 110 for a couple of months now. Can someone help me?

And why in the world would you be using a 180cm dish for that? It can be had with an 18" dish so even a 90cm would be overkill.

it looks like he is in an area where they need larger dishes for legal subscriptions like 6 footers for 119, 110 and 61.5 and no chance of getting 129 or 148 (so it sounds like he has a sub and is in Puerto Rico)
Yes, I am from Puerto Rico and currently a Dish sub. You can get 110 and 119 with smaller dishes but for 61.5 you need a 5 to 6ft dish. The problem is I can not receive anything with the FC06-180 CM.
send us your cordinates lat and longitude and we will be more able to help you.![]()
My Lat and Longs are 18.40653 and -66.09046. I bought a Fortec Star FC06-180CM with Dish Pro LNB. Then I tried a universal LNB. There are no other connections between the LNB and the receiver Vip 211.
From My location I have pointed to the Azm 165 and tilt 65 and I get a signal but not 61.5. I had a professional installer point to 119 and 110 locations as well and also got no signal so he assumed it was the dish FC06-180CM.
Is he right?![]()
Unlikely the problem, but I compute more like 67.8 for your elevation. Also, I compute a magnetic deviation of -12 deg 38 min for your location. I assume you figured that in if using a compass.Originally Posted by mad
I'm curious though, what size and type dish were you previously using this LNBF on when you were sucessful? Is this one of the LNBFs with a little hood? Only reason I ask, is that I wonder if the lnbf is really illuminating the whole dish. Ie it may be matched for a different F/D ration dish, and is certainly matched for an offset dish. Ie you may only be using a small portion of that dish.
Also, the mount on that dish may not be well suited for attaching the Dishpro lnbf, so you may not be at the focal point. You may have to experiment a bit with placement of the lnbf.
Just a few ideas.
I am using two 4ft dish network dishes for 119 and 110. I used the LNB at different distances from the with no luck. Is the best focal point still 684 mm for this band?
The FL is the same regardless of band. It's just that different lnbfs might fit in the mount different, and on KU band with that big of a dish, you don't have to be off very far to lose it. Shouldn't be too far off. I'd just try an inch or so closer to the dish, because I think that holder is made for a bigger C-band feed. I guess if it worked with 4' dishes, it should be OK with the 180 CM, so I don't know what else to suggest.Originally Posted by mad
