    Skyhawk PVR800 /OpenBox S9 firmware Verisons Question

    Hi
I'm using HDS2-10-06-29:026bBMT and when watching some DVB-S2 channel the receiver freezes up and pauses.
This happens on ABC feeds a lot. Does any of the newer versions correct this issue? Any feedback from the other forum member? I'm from the school of it it's working don't update.. It would be great to have a list of what was corrected or updated in the different versions of firmware for this receiver.
    Thanks
    Don

Re: Skyhawk PVR800 /OpenBox S9 firmware Verisons Question

i just went back to hds2-11-03-21:01a2m from sadoum. i tryed c2hs2 versions from satguys that were ok but i liked the sathawk version the best. one thing i like is when the program sees signal, the 'moving dish' goes away. and i like moving the dish with the control instead of choosing a satellite after hiting the green button. and one of them was locking up after a little bit after it was on for a long time. the thing i don't like about the sathawk is i can't record and play back on the pc. the others are capable of that and i am pretty good at loading another update. if you rename the dump file then you can load another dump with your favorite things already chosen. hope that helps you. got my 8' dish working today. now i can see nbc on 105w. sad thing the volume there is so low i have to turn up the volume all the way on the Openbox and the tv to even hear the low volume... maybe i don't have something set right. charlie

    Charles
Press the "audio" button and select aag(754) that is everything.

Thanks for the replies I'm looking to stop the freezing of the channels.
I'll have to play around with the firmware when I'm on vacation in a few weeks.
I'll let you know what I find. I enjoy the NBC on 105w. great picture.
So could you see that on your 6ft dish? I notice you just put up a 8 ft.
I moved in Sept and just put my dish back up 3 weeks ago. I really
missed it as I hate to watch tv i 480i if there is a hd 1080i or a 720 signal of the
same channel. So the new firmware can play a file on a pc? I have converted some files
from dvb to ts files and watched them with VLC player.
    Thanks
    Don

Re: Skyhawk PVR800 /OpenBox S9 firmware Verisons Question

    Hello everyone!

Is there a way to copy all the channels I have store now, in case of a fw update or have to do factory reset? Also, is there any hint of FW update for the Sathawk PVR800?

Do you use the channel editor? I think you can save you channels and import them.
