    Which satellite are you actually looking for in your first post you say G-25@97.0W then later G-19@97.0W with a transponder number of 11874. You state the birddog was set to find G-19 As it happens both G-19 and G-25 use that transponder frequency. The problem is that both do not reside at 97.0W, if your after a specific channel for your wife what is the name of that channel. Are you sure your even on the right satellite.

    According to LYNGSAT:

    G-25@93.1W uses 11874
    G-19@97.0W also uses 11874

    At 3.9 degrees apart and looking for 11874 frequency with the birddog you could have either one of them.

    Has the birddog been updated with the latest satellite information.

    Has your receiver been updated to get the latest satellite information or is it using outdated information.

    G-19@97.0W has far more ethnic channels than G-25@93.1W

    If your looking for G-25 why set the birddog to look for G-19 or are you really looking for G-19.

    Please don't PM me directly for information, answers to almost all your questions are in the FORUMS.
    Some reading is required.

    Well as far as I know G25 was replace by G19 in late 2008, but in my fortec I only have a G25 Ku 97W, which is where G19 is, and the same issue with the birdog, in the website for the birdog is only showing KV G19, and that's why I'm looking for that bird. The whole point was that I did get the channels, but when I unplug the birdog it didn't work anymore. I'm about to go out there and try right now! I would let you guys know, (my friend w/the birdog is not here today) so wish me luck!

    Well finally I figure it out, its the cable, but is not. The cable don't work with the universal lnb, but with the standard works find. Then when I change the cable to standard instead of the HD cable it works, the only difference in the cables is that the HD is 3ghz and the other is 2.5ghz it makes no sense, but the hd cable works just find with my old standard lnb setup to 10750. When I change the cable and setup my lnb to universal an 10836 it works just find. Of course I'm still getting only 53% quality with the tree right in front of it. Well Thank you everybody for your input, I really appreciate all the answers.

    OK I see where the satellite number differences come from.

    Where exactly in the menu are you putting the 10836 number to get it to work.

    If the other RG-6 cable worked with the birddog it should work without it if the settings are right.

    LNB= universal
    LNB frequency = default
    transponder=11874
    22khz = auto
    diseqc = off
    motor = none

    powerscan and what do you get.

    I don't think changing to a RG-6 3.0ghz cable would make any difference.

    As pmb1010 said in a few post back check to see that your lnb is turned on in your receiver go to menu then system setup then under others you should see the lnb power make sure it is set to on.

    Original LNB 1

    LNB Type= LNB-10750
    Positioner= Off
    Transponder= 11836

    My NEW LNB 2

    LNB Type= Universal
    Positioner= off
    Transponder= 11836
    22khz= On

    Ok Today when I plugin my LNB 1 I use the setting 1 and it work right away quality=50-57, Then when I connect LNB 2 using the second setting nothing happen with the same cable.

    Than I tried a different cable with LNB 2, and I got it with the same settings from above. I also tried my LNB1 with settings 1 and it work again. I put back the original cable and LNB1 worked fine, Than I replace again with LNB 2 and change the settings again and nothing, so by deduction has to be the cable?

    I bought the LNB 2 because the front cover broke and I my box was at least 8 years old. I t just happen that today I decide it to try it with the new box, plus the people where I bought the box told me that it was better to buy a new UNIVERSAL LNB, that is why I have going to so many trouble. But it is Great because I'm learning so much and I'm happy with that.!!
    I will replace the cable maybe tomorrow because the one that I tried was to short.
    AGAIN Thamk U everybody.!

    Hi MVR600............
    I don't know all the equipment you have but here are some settings
    Universal LNB setting is....UNI (9750,10600)
    Standard LNB setting is....10750
    Circular LNB is 11250
    I see that you are trying to use 22khz setting...that is only used if you have a 22khz switch at the dish. If you don't have a switch it is the be in the "OFF" option.
    If you don't have a motor the Positioner should be off...
    I know you know this one, LNB power has to be on.
