Convert C to Ku

I have a 6 panel 1.8m Fortec prime focus dish. I was wondering if it is possible to change it over to view DN sats. I heard from a friend that he thinks it would be possible if I got a C/Ku lnb. Would I have to change the focal point of the dish to an offset or can I use the 3 way mount with a scalar ring and still be able to hit DN birds?

You'll need a circular polarized LNBF. There's a device I've seen around that is basically a replacement C-band scalar ring with a circular LNBF grafted onto it that lets you continue to use your existing feed and add either DirecTV or Dish.
