Fortec MercuryII sSetup w/Dish Network 500 Dish for NASA Tv

    Hi
I put up a Dish Network 500 Dish with a dual lnb. for EchoStar 7 119.0W

How do I program the transponder in the menu for circular poloration.
I can only seem to get linear. Is the LNB type a LNB-11250, 10750,5150, or user defined. With my Fortec dish I can get a signal in linear mode on tp 12239 shows scrambled. I have elv at 32 and skew at 116.

I cant get a signal with the Dish Network Dish. Wrong settings I believe.
I'm using transponder 12239 to setup on.

I want to watch NASA Tv.
This dish was working and was given to me.
    Thanks for lookng.
    Don

I think your problem is the Dish 500 LNB.
It has a built in switch which is incompatable with FTA equipment.

Maybe you can find a cheaper 18" dish with regular non-switched circular LNB.

11250 would be the freq for circular use.

I could be wrong though. DN ain't my thing..

    Hello
    I did some playing around. I setup EchoStar7 119.0W
    LNB Type = Univ(9750-10600)
    lo = 12224 hi = 12516

Then did a power scan to capture all the active transponders.
I found that vertical = left hand, horizontal = right hand.

12370 is transponder 11 for NASA Tv. Ch213
    its shows up as 11719/H/20000

I just shut down the receiver and change RG6's
is there a way to combine them? My FTA Fortec is motorized.
I can see that Angel channel and a few DN info channels.
So now time to enjoy NASA Tv
    Don
