I have a Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra (May 2004 on the tag on the back of the receiver).
There is no listing in the installation menu for Echostar 5 @ 129 degrees.
I didn't see a FAQ section on Fortec.ca so I need some advice.
Is it possible to manually add a satellite to the installation list? How do I do it?
Or is it easier to download something from Fortec.ca?
Many Thanks for any advice,
John

On my receiver's TP/Satellite edit, there is no "new" button for satellite addition. Just a "new" button for adding a tp.
So, I just renamed one of the sats no visible and entered details required for the Echostar 5 FTA channel I'm assuming is (12458 R/V 20000).
I'm using a stationary dish so there shouldn't be a problem (I hope)
I'll get on the roof tomorrow and look for it.
I think I'll get a new receiver next week too.
Thanks for the help,
John
First, you need a circular LNBF to see Echo 5.
Second, there are only 2 FTA channels on that bird. Are you actually wanting White Springs on G 27 at 129?
