2040 and two different dishes....
Does anyone know if I can hook up two different dishes to my receiver and control the position of each seperatly?
I currently have a large mesh c-band dish that works fine but I am thinking of adding a small dish for ku band feeds.
Thanks

Yes, you can use a Diseqc 2x1 or 4x1 to switch between the dishes.
Diseqc 2x1 : for 2 dishes
Diseqc 4x1 : upt to 4 dishes.
If your C-band is moveable and tracks the arc correctly, you might consider to upgrade the feedhorn to C/Ku one.

Re: 2040 and two different dishes....
I tried a C/Ku feedhorn but I don't get a Ku signal - I assumed this is because of the mesh dish. I've heard that the Ku signal is too week to reflect from certian mesh dishes.
My C-band (BUD) dish is movable but doesn't use Diseqc. It's got an actuator and the 2040 has seperate connections for it. I guess my question is more specific - Can I use diseqc to control the small dish and still control the BUD with the actuator connections?
Thanks!

I don't know if you can use the positioner and Diseqc switch, but for sure you can use the 22khz setting for switching between C and Ku.
Set Low 5150
High 10750
The switch will switch the bands base on the channels' freq you select.
