Looking for WCPE (11942 MHZ) on AMC-1

Help Help!! I have a Satcruiser 101+ with an Old Primestar Dish and I'm looking for AMC-1 in the Chattanooga, TN area. I have set up my equipment and have been able to pick up several TV stations on what I thought was AMC-1. I am able to see Ishtar TV, CHANNEL ONE, and a couple of Thai TV Channels....Which satellite am I on? I looked up these channels on LyngSat and nothing seems to tell me what exactly what I've tuned into. Can anybody tell me what I've locked on to and a better way to find AMC-1?

istar is on ia5 at 97 degrees you need to move your dish west to 103 degrees to receive amc1. :mozilla_smile:

Okay, thanks, I'll reorient my dish and try again...Have you ever locked in on AMC-1? Is it a 'hot' bird or will it be marginal to find?

i have no problems getting it but i am using a 8.5 ft dish also. :mozilla_smile:
